What Are Moles
Majority of the moles are fairly harmless and do not require any special care. However, some moles appear more as a blemish rather than a “beauty spot”.. Some people suffer from a condition called dysplastic nevi. These are unusual-looking moles that are more likely to become cancerous as compared to an ordinary mole.
A mole is caused when the melanocytes cells within the skin grows in clumps or clusters. A melanocyte cell produces melanin pigment that renders your skin its natural color. Normally, melanocyte cells are evenly distributed throughout your skin. However, sometimes genes or hereditary conditions cause clusters of melanocytes cells within the tissues surrounding them, resulting in the occurrence of a mole.
